Principal's message:
Welcome to the Coloma Elementary web site. Here at Coloma Elementary we hold our students to the highest academic standards. Thanks to the dedication of our students, parents and staff our school ranked among the top in the area last year and received an overall school grade of an “A”. We are very proud of our accomplishments, but by no means are we content. It is our goal to constantly improve our curriculum and instruction so that our students stay on top.
Our district has seen many changes in the last couple of school years. Some of those changes affecting our building include an elementary realignment and all day kindergarten. We are extremely excited about both. All day kindergarten will afford us the opportunity to meet the needs of our students as the rigors of the state standards continue to increase at that grade level. Equally as important, Coloma Elementary is now strictly a upper elementary building. We will be servicing second through fourth grade students. Although this was a huge undertaking, we believe that the benefits will far outweigh the challenges. By putting our grade level teams under one roof, we will be able to collaborate, share resources, improve instruction, and focus professional development opportunities.
As we strive to build a solid foundation for learning, we ask that you partner with us in our efforts. Working as one, there is nothing that we can’t accomplish. Thank you for privilege of educating your child!
