New Student Registration

Registration for 2009-10

Registration for students new to Coloma takes place in the building the student will attend.

• grades K-1 attend Washington elementary.
• grades 2-4 attend Coloma Elementary.
• grades 5-7 attend Coloma Middle School.
• Grades 8-9 attend Coloma Junior High.
• grades 10-12 attend Coloma High School.

All new kindergarten students need to take the PALS literacy test that will be scheduled at the time of registration.

Students new to grades 5-7 need to take a reading placement test. Parents should allow 20-30 minutes for testing.

Each child must have a birth certificate, social security number, two proofs of residence, hearing and vision tests, and all required shots before attending school.

Book Deposits

• A book deposit of $25 per student is in effect for students in grades 5-12.
• Book deposits are carried over from year to year and are returned to students at the time of graduation or when student leaves the district.
• Any fines incurred by the student will be deducted from the deposit.
• There will be no book deposit for students in grade K-4.
